LOCAL FACULTIES BIOGRAPHY 12th Edition of Gastro Abu Dhabi International GI Conference 2026 ABOUT THE FACULTY Dr. Nikhil Gupta Gastroenterologist NMC Specialty Hospital Abu Dhabi, UAE Dr. Nikhil Gupta is a Specialist in Gastroenterology at NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi, with more than a decade of clinical experience. His practice encompasses gastroenterology, hepatology and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. His clinical interests include gastrointestinal and liver disorders, endoscopic evaluation and management of complex digestive disease. He is also involved in professional education and scientific programmes, contributing to the development of gastroenterology services in the UAE. Dr. Nisha Dhar Kapoor has extensive experience of 22 years in gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy. As a resident of gastroenterology, she was actively involved in pre- and post-liver transplant management (primarily DDLT). She has experience in all diagnostic and interventional endoscopic procedures including UGIE, Sigmoidoscopy & Ileo-Colonoscopy, Variceal sclerotherapy and Banding, Esophageal Stenting, intragastric balloon placement, APC, Endoscopic Dilatation, PEG, Enteroscopy, Capsule endoscopy, polypectomies, ERCP, biliary stone extraction and stenting, and esophageal manometry. Dr. Nisha completed MBBS from B. J. Medical College, University of Pune, and thereafter obtained her M.D in General Medicine from Armed Forces Medical College. Then she did DNB Gastroenterology from Army Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Rajneesh Rajan is a Gastroenterologist and Head of the Gastroenterology Department at NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Nahda, Dubai. He completed his medical graduation in Kerala, followed by MD in Internal Medicine from PGI Chandigarh and DM in Gastroenterology from Government Medical College, Calicut. He spent the first decade of his professional career at Aster MIMS before moving to his current role in Dubai. His principal clinical area of expertise is inflammatory bowel disease. His procedural experience includes gastroscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, capsule endoscopy, FibroScan and gastrointestinal motility studies.
