Shastri Chairman HOD - Gastroenterology NMC Specialty Hospital Abu Dhabi, UAE Dr. Yogesh Manohar Shastri is a highly experienced gastroenterologist in Abu Dhabi, known for his expertise in advanced endoscopic procedures and hepatology. Dr. Yogesh obtained his MBBS from the Government Medical College, Jabalpur, India, followed by MD (Internal Medicine) from the University of Mumbai. In 2004, he obtained his super-speciality DNB in Medical Gastroenterology from the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has over 16 years of experience in medical gastroenterology, therapeutic endoscopy and Hepatology. He acquired advanced training at Goethe University Hospital, Frankfurt, Germany, and a Clinical Fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasound at Institute Paoli-Calmettes, Marseille, France, under Prof. Marc Giovannini. Dr. Yogesh joined NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi, in 2012. He heads the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and chairs the Endoscopic Ultrasound program. He has published about 100 articles. Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy is an Indian gastroenterologist who studied at the Kurnool Medical College. He is the chairman and founder of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) at Hyderabad, the biggest gastroenterology hospital in the world.He received the Padma Shri award in 2002 and Padma Bhushan award in 2016. An elected fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences,he was given the world's highest gastroenterology award in Shanghai, China, at a function held in September, 2013.He was conferred with the Rudolf V. Schindler Award, the highest category in the prestigious Crystal Awards named after Schindler, who is considered as “the father of gastroscopy” by American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Prateek Sharma, MD, FASGE, FACP, FACG is Professor of Medicine and Director of the GI Fellowship Program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is also the Elaine Blaylock Endowed Professor at the Kansas University Cancer Center. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Sharma has been at the forefront in improving diagnosis and management of GI diseases and cancer, specifically esophageal diseases, GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, imaging, artificial intelligence, digital health, sustainable healthcare and endoscopic treatments. He is a world-renowned physician, teacher, and educator. Dr. Sharma has been interviewed by CNN, the Wall Street Journal,and Newsweek.
